After talking to her (mom) she sent me a friend request. I accepted after a week of thinking about it. I decided to block her and my sister from seeing my “Likes” on FB. I figure if I post something “apostate” I will block them from seeing it. We don’t talk much anymore anyway. Its a good thing we're hundreds of miles apart.

"Millions Now Living Will Never Die," Predicted the Watctower before 1914.
by Scott77 inpredicted the watctower falsely predicted before 1914 that,"millions now living will never die" before 1914. its now a year before we hit 100 years mark.
was god's or god's holy spirit guiding them when they falsely predicted that prophesy?
what is your reaction or perspective on this big lie?.

Innapropriate for young children? Scare tactics?
by The Quiet One ingods word for us through jeremiah page 128 '..his mother bought a ram and a ewe.
he looked after them, and the ewe produced two lambs a year, so the flock began to grow..."early one morning while i was still in bed," he recalls, "i heard them bleating.
when i finally did, i saw a pack of wild dogs running away from my lambs, which had their bellies ripped open.

Here in Colorado I have been summonsed twice. The first time was when I was a JW. I was picked to serve and was happy to have the experience. It was a drunk driving case. No one in the hall gave me a hard time for not getting out of it.
The second time I was called to jury duty, I called the night before to see if my number was called. They send out so many summonses then the day before your supposed to be there they give out the Juror numbers that must show up. If your number is not called, you don’t have to go. My number was missed by 3 or 4. I wouldn’t mind doing it again sometime. I was not registered to vote the first time I was called to serve.

BOE Letter: Rules to deal with rules
by pixel inas everybody jere knows, there is no requirement for a christian to "count and report" their time.
that's totally made-up by the wt/fds/gb, so, they have to make rules to deal with their own rules.... .

it sounds like they are getting complaints from reg pioneers about not fulfilling their obligations of hours and they (pioneers) are using the excuse that they are putting a lot of time in on cong builds, maintenance and the like... "lay off the pioneers" cries the WTBTS

Yep. They always struggle to get the territory done in this hall. Whenever they have these type of invites they are always pushing it to the last day to get em all out.

I got my memorial invite. Of course it was from the sweetest sister in the hall. Mrs Dazed opened the door and I saw who it was and came over to say hi. She said “Oh good, I was hoping you were home. Will you come to the memorial tomorrow night” as shes giving me a hug. I said “I can’t make it tomorrow” and she said “Oh please come.” She said with a sad face. I just smiled at her. She then asked if we minded if she parked in front of our house. We said “of course not.”
She’s the sweetest. Her son is an elder in the hall and is also the one elder I had respect for. At least I didn’t say what I was thinking…’no way in hell will I step foot in another hall for the memorial…’

The Mantan the lost tribe of Wales
by designs inwe have been researching our ancestry and so far on my father's side we have located the family land in wales in a little village called machynileth just off the coast of cardigan bay and our search dates to 1749. someday my son and i will visit our family-tree homesteads in europe.. legends develop in anyone's family and one of the curious legends was of an american native tribe called the mantan who lived near the ohio valley and wisconsin and later moved east to the dakotas.
what was interesting about the story of these peoples is that they were blue-eyed and some green-eyed with lighter skin and it was thought early on by anthropologists that some of their words were welsh.
it turns out they were not descendents of welsh explorers but they may have been the result of earlier encounters with europeans.
